To attempt to present the anatomy of a designer product in detail without insights into the context it has been developing would not make much sense. The 3angle, a product of the designer studio Grupa, is no exception. The 3angle is now produced in two versions – as a two-seater sofa and an armchair – and both have undergone several dramatic changes in form and function: from initial concept, visualization, model and first prototype, to market launch. The 3angle arose from the first design competition for padded furniture organized by the company Kvadra and held by the Croatian Designers Society at the beginning of 2011.
